Raw-edge appliqué is a fast and flexible appliqué method (and my favorite!), but how do you avoid the edges fraying? This video will show you how to beautifully finish those raw-edges with a satin stitch. I love the crisp finish that a satin stitch provides, and, unlike a blanket or zig-zag stitch, it seals all the raw-edges, so you won’t see any fraying — even after being laundered. No need to reverse your image or turn under any edges!
This was from my recent appearance on Creative Living with Sheryl Borden. These segments will be airing on PBS stations this Fall and next Spring, but Sheryl was sweet enough to let me share them early with you!
